“QUEEN MAJESTY” was recorded by The Techniques and is perhaps the finest example of Duke Reid’s love of melody and close harmony singing. It is the most glorious take on the Impressions original Chicago recording penned by Curtis Mayfied.
“RENEGADE” was recorded in 1967 by The Zodiacs and was originally the flip side to “Duck Soup”. It is now one of the most valuable and collected of the Treasure Isle 45s and, with its strong Impressions influence, is the perfect companion to “Queen Majesty”.
