TWO STORMING NORTHERN SOUL SIDES REISSUED ON 7-INCH VINYL FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME
Featuring two fabulous Northern Soul sides reissued for the first time on 7-inch vinyl, exclusively from Charly Records. Recorded in 1969 in New York for Bobby Robinson’s tiny BR label and featuring his daughters The Carlettes. One of the earliest records to be written, arranged and directed by the legendary disco producer Patrick Adams. Both sides were produced by Al Avant, son of “The Black Godfather”, Clarence Avant. Robinson did little to promote the disc at the time choosing, instead, to lease it to the major Capitol Records. “I’m Getting Tired” was the chosen side for Northern Soul DJs throughout the 70s for its floor-packing dance beat. Today, the crossover elegance of “Lost Without Your Love” is the popular choice.
Another exclusive from Charly Records.
