Lord What's Happened?

The third release selected by SOUL CITY on their 2025 relaunched logo is a Blackpool Mecca classic courtesy of pioneering DJ Colin Curtis. At the time of release Smith described the song as a cash-in on the “Jesus Rock” trend but it failed to hit with the Christian-themed rock opera fans or the airwaves. It was originally released on Kenny Smith’s own label Goldspot before being picked up – with an extended remix – by General American Records for wider distribution. Both releases remain elusive to this day. Here, for the first time, both versions are presented back-to-back… only on SOUL CITY.
